Today I went diving again. This was my 13th and 14th dive.
We went out on a friends rib bot into the Gower area. The first stop was off Port Eynon head. I don’t normally like boats, but this one was a good one and I enjoyed it a lot. Our three friends dived together initially and they had a good time. The water was so clear, we could see the divers at the bottom. When they came up, we went in. I sat on the rubber tubes on the side of the boat and I rolled off into the water. It was great fun. We swam around. I saw a lots of starfish, spider crabs and hermit crabs. One hermit crab fell out of his shell. He then quickly got himself back into it. That was good. We swam along and then ascended. Back at the surface, I held onto the side of the rib, took off my buoyancy jacket with my cylinder attached and then bounced myself into the boat.
We then sped off around the Worms head in Rhossilli where I jumped into the water and swam around with some seals. They didn’t come too close to us as they were a little bit scared, but they were swimming under us and around us. That was amazing!
We then had some lunch before I did my first wreck dive on the City of Bristol old paddle steamer off Rhossilli beach. This was a great little dive. Again I rolled off the rib, then I descended a shot line that was attached to the wreck. It was an old paddle steamer. I saw one of the wheels that used to paddle it along. I also saw two Conger eels, one was small, the other was massive, its head was about a foot round and its body was about two meters long. It was a big one. I saw lots of other crabs, prawn and other shell fish. It was really good.
Its been a while since I last updated this with anything. I’ve been busy doing other stuff such as BMX and scootering.
I started to Scuba dive a few weeks ago so thought I would write something about it. I did my first dive in the National Diving and Activity Center in Chepstow. It was great fun, and after a bit of practice, I went for a swim around and saw a few things such as a small plane, an army lorry and an armored personal carrier.
The second day I went to a lake and dived that where I saw a sunken speedboat. That was fun.
The third day I went in the sea and saw a huge spider crab, that I played with with some kelp. It was good. I liked the sea diving best.
At the end of the three days, I passed my PADI Junior Scuba Divers award, which allows me to dive to 12mtr!! It was very exciting and I am happy that I did it.
I love Penguins!
There is something special about Penguins, the way they move, the way they look, in fact everything. This week my dad and I went away for a few days. As part of the trip, I had the opportunity to meet some Humbolt Penguins and also to feed them. This was a very special and exciting thing to do, a real adventure.
The reality is that the penguins were in a Safari land, but it wasn’t an opportunity just anyone could do, but my dad arranged for me to do it.
It was amazing. I fed loads of them, they were so greedy, but cute. One Penguin was blind so I had to touch the fish to its nose so that he knew it was there. Once he got it, he devoured it easily.
What an brilliant experience that I loved a lot.
I haven’t been updating this for a while as I have been very busy doing other stuff. I went to Legoland the other weekend and that was great. Also, due to the poor weather, I’ve been enjoying myself doing a lot of gaming on my PC and XBOX1. Continue reading →
I’ve been away in Scotland for my half term off school. The plan was to spend a few days boarding and also to do some mountain climbing. Continue reading →
I’ve climbed Mt Snowdon a few times before today, all of them have been good ascents. I did a winter ascent in 2013 via the Llanberis path. This time, as part of the National Three Peaks, I decided with my dad to climb it via the Pyg Track, a shorter route, but harder and steeper. Continue reading →
