In December 2012, Joshua was fortunate enough to attend Buckingham Palace with a troop of Combined Cadet Force cadets. They followed the changing of the guards from Leighton Barracks across the Mall and into Buckingham Palace. Joshua marched with them along the route and then stood in the courtyard of Buckingham Palace as the parade went on. Afterwards he had tea and biscuits in the guard room at the Palace.
