Winter Three Peaks – Ben Nevis

Today I planned to climb Ben Nevis. The day started on a worrying note as two people went missing on the North face of Ben Nevis last Sunday, however, the route we took was the pony track, a deceptively easy sounding name, but still a huge mountain slog. The mountain was in the grip of a full winter, with deep snow, ice and crazy weather buffeting it.  Continue reading

My BBC Radio Wales Interview

My interview for BBC Radio Wales went out today across the country. Feel free to have listen to it here;

Sprayway Sponsor Joshua

Today I was really excited and happy to get a sponsorship deal with Sprayway. Sprayway are one of the best manufacturers of top quality outdoor clothing and equipment.

They have offered to kit me out with the clothing I need for my challenge up the national three peaks starting very soon in winter conditions. Having looked at their website and kit, I was really pleased to see that they have the exact kit that I require, down jackets, insulated trousers and layers of jackets to keep me warm and dry.

I was also excited at the choice of bobble hats that they have on offer as they look really cool, but they are also really practical and warm. I’m looking forward to getting the kit and putting it to the test on my challenge.

Please support Sprayway as they support me. Once I get the kit, I’ll make a film of me opening the kit and try it on to show you – hopefully you’ll like it as well.

Until next time,

Today I have been photographed by the media as part of an article going out in Wales on Sunday, all about my upcoming new challenge for the three peaks in winter, to raise awareness of the not for profit organisation called Hope4families.org.uk
It was good fun. The photographer made me climb up a small climbing frame and climbing wall. It was a good laugh, but freezing cold.
Now for the real challenge of doing them. Roll on the snow and ice to turn our peaks wintery.
